We have established a highly effective corporate sourcing organisation to ensure that our customers benefit from the most competitive prices for components and materials. The team consists of dedicated specialists within each commodity group. These sourcing managers work directly with carefully selected manufacturers and distributors for the benefit of our customers. We continuously monitor the market, negotiating the best possible prices and ensuring safe supply. To replace our Strategic Sourcing Manager, who is moving on to a new position within the group’s operations in China, we are seeking:

Strategic Sourcing Manager

Kitron has great expectations in our new Strategic Sourcing Manager. We are looking for a graduate engineer who can be an active teammate in our global sourcing programme. You will detect and execute Cost Reduction Programmes and contribute additional competence to the position through local and global development projects, as well as running projects at our production facilities.

As the connecting link between the development teams and our suppliers, you will ensure stable production quality by continuously improving design – and on the other hand maintain and develop the supplier network. Your responsibilities will include the approval of new suppliers and the negotiation and follow-up of agreements. The position reports to the GM of Kitron Sourcing AS, a subsidiary of Kitron ASA.

You are a graduate engineer with a proven track record from demanding sourcing tasks in a similar position. We emphasise experience from production, logistics, purchase and project management. Further, you have a substantial understanding of technical documentation, natural confidence in negotiations and strong communication skills. You are able to complete projects in a structured and systematic way under time pressure. Oral and written fluency in English is required, and acquaintance with Germany and the German language will be advantageous.

Kitron offers a challenging – and rewarding – position with active contribution to the other business entities. The compensation package is competitive, with early retirement and insurance solutions. The position involves extensive, international travelling and will primarily be located at our headquarters at Billingstad outside Oslo, but Gothenburg or Stockholm may also be considered as alternative work places.
